Michael Preisler


Maintains broad international networks in the raw materials and mechanical engineering sectors for his clients. In doing this, he links his understanding of how a particular market works with intimate knowledge of production and technology. His special focus is in CFO appointments.


Originally trained as a coal miner, the mining engineer has never forgotten his roots. He holds degrees in engineering from the RWTH Aachen University and in industrial engineering from the Technische Universität München (TUM). A wide range of roles in a 22-year industrial career as a general manager, company chairman and CFO in the mining, metal foundry and automotive supply industries. Past positions include successfully stints as a general manager in North Africa, as CFO, and a variety of roles, initially at Metallgesellschaft in Frankfurt and Tunis, at Aurubis in Hamburg, and then with the Freudenberg Group. He subsequently worked for several years with S.U.P. Frankfurt.

Attitude to life

Warm-hearted and reliable, always direct and open. That is how clients, partners and friends experience the two-meter tall (6’6″), witty and multilingual man. He is a passionate jazz and art lover, a committed Rotarian and an avid mountain biker and stays in close touch with his children, who live in several countries.


Consultant since 2007. Facilitated appointments to executive bodies of major organizations. He takes many business trips on assignment for family-run businesses. A company’s management succession is in good hands with him.
