The Consumer Goods Global Summit Vancouver 2019

The Global Summit brings together CEOs and senior executives from the world’s leading retailers, manufacturers and service providers to learn, network and do business. Each year a theme is selected that reflects the current challenges and opportunities facing the industry. For the 2019 edition of the Global Summit, the theme of “Growth Through New Retail” was chosen.

CAPITALENT’s partners Marc Schmidt and Hubertus von Wedel took part in the 2019 summit bringing home valuable insights for their clients chiefly in the three areas of debate of the Vancouver event. That is, firstly the continuing role of new technologies to rapidly reshape business models; secondly, the  power of “purpose” to inspire both consumers and employees; and thirdly, the importance of new forms of collaboration to achieve impact at scale.
